looking back to 1960-61

This past weekend the bearded ladies in the photo below, well they are my sisters and nieces. We took them on a tour of our homes of our youth.
Obviously, some of us had more history (66 years) and some a little less (60) and then the baby (52) finally got to be in some stories !!

This fire station was a piece of all of our memory. Our grandparent lived 2-3 blocks up from here and we all had a memory of Grandaddy walking us each at seperate times to see the gold fish in the gold fish pond down in the fire stations side yard. (where they house the more modern fire trucks now) It made me sad that the pond was gone but oh so happy that they had restored it and still used it!

Time is such a peculiar dimension to our lives...
